The Pursuit of Balance In Mood, Energy, Motivation, And Well-Being

Hormone Replacement Therapy

Fatigue, low sex drive, weight gain, loss of skeletal muscle mass, and/or poor concentration are symptoms often faced from time to time. When they become chronic and group up with other symptoms, there becomes a stronger likelihood of a hormone imbalance.

As we age, we see a gradual decline in our body’s natural hormone production. While this is considered a normal part of aging, there are options today that didn’t exist years ago. Bio-identical hormones have been improving men and women’s lives now for decades, with improvements in quality of life, reuniting couples, improving total health, and giving people a chance to do the things they often thought they could never do – or do again.

Whether it’s a stronger and leaner body, improvements with sexual wellness, better energy, better focus, better mood, better pain control, or even better self-care, hormones can play a pivotal role in any person’s total health.

Am I a good candidate for HRT/TRT/BHRT?

Before deciding to start hormone therapy, we highly recommend that you talk with your primary physician. We’ll cover the risks, benefits, and goals of therapy with each individual patient. If you have a significant history of cancer, heat disease, stoke(s), blood clots, smoking, or desire a future pregnancy, hormone therapies may not be safe to take. We make it a priority to decide whether hormone therapy is safe for each patient (we will discuss alternative treatments and advise against it in high risk cases).

How does Virtue Medical handle hormone therapy?

First and foremost, total body health is our priority for each and every patient. While your general health is foundational, it is important to also give attention to your quality of life, which strongly impacts your total health. And so, goals of hormone therapy target not only your general health, but your quality of life. With reasonable expectations, proper treatments, and safe, high-quality care, we believe we can help good candidates for hormone therapy achieve most, if not all, of their goals of therapy.

How safe is the process?

We treat our patients carefully using protocols that focus on safety, efficiency, and realistic goals. We investigate risks versus benefits for each individual patient to make certain that treamtent is safe, reasonable, and has a high likelihood of treatment success.

If you’re interested in hormone therapy, we want to welcome you to our clinic and help you understand our process (outlined below). Getting started takes about one week (to get a few detailed lab results) from the time of lab draw to seeing the provider.

Hormone Therapy Process

Scroll down to begin the process! Afterwards, you will receive an email inviting you to schedule your INITIAL appointment.

Choose an appointment time for labwork, body composition measurements, a B12 injection (optional), and complete forms/consents for treatment.

Before you leave your initial appointments, we will set up an appointment time with the provider that works for you – in about a week’s time.

After discussing labs, symptoms, and your medical histories, create a plan and begin your hormone treatment.

Follow-up monthly to alter therapy as needed, or to maintain positive results and continue treatment optimization!
