DPC Discount versus Your Insurance
Every patient has the option to use their insurance at the lab of their own choice. Insurance may completely pay for routine labs. Check your insurance to find out (due to complexities in insurance underwriting, we cannot definitively tell whether your insurance gives a better price than our discount).
In-house labs with the DPC discount!
To use the DPC discount through Virtue Medical, your provider will order labs through LabCorp. Labs can be drawn in our clinic. If you’re not using the clinic’s lab, you can either take orders to LabCorp in Lee’s Summit (with or without using the discounts), located at:

Unfortunately, at this time we cannot draw labs at our clinic for patients using their insurance.
For those using their insurance, any local outpatient lab can be faxed lab orders. This includes outpatient labs at St. Luke’s facilities, St. Mary’s, Quest, or any local lab that is convenient for you.
How to: Imaging
DPC Discount versus Your Insurance
As with labs, every patient as the option to use their insurance at the imaging center of their choice. Coverage varies based on your plan, so you’ll need to contact your insurance for coverage specifics.
To use the DPC discount through Virtue Medical, your provider will order imaging through either Element Imaging or Diagnostic Imaging Center (depending on price variations). At Element Imaging, patients pay on-site for imaging. At Diagnostic Imaging Centers, patients pay Virtue Medical upfront for imaging (we then pay Diagnostic Imaging Centers).
